About us
Herefordshire Hair & Aesthetics is a local business based in Hereford that provides a 'hair at home' service in and around Herefordshire - Wedding hair is an exception and can be done anywhere...

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my business. My name is Lindsey and I am based in Madley, Herefordshire.

Two years ago, I trained in facial ascetics, and I am now a fully qualified facial aesthetic practitioner I now offer a full range of different treatments.

I have experience working within various salon’s in Hereford City centre, for some time in which then I decided to set up my own business, in order to offer a larger variety of hairdressing services within the comfort of my clients homes. I now specialise in Bridal hair and  Bridal party packages. I also offer all styles, cuts, colours and up-dos along with prom/party packages.

I decided to go mobile as I think it makes for a more comfortable and personal experience, which can fit around my clients lives and needs, which I understand well as I am a working mother. I take great pride in all my work and I understand the need for perfection when it comes to your wedding day.

In August 2021, I became fully qualified in facial aesthetics practitioner. I am now able to offer antiwrinkle treatments, as well as classic lips and nasal folds.

Qualifications

I’ve gained so far are.

I am constantly going on new courses covering hairdressing and facial aesthetics as I think this is very important due to fashion changes So I can keep up with all my clients needs.

I love my job and always look forward to meeting new and old clients on a regular basis,

I’m based two days a week in Madley The rest of the time I’m freelance.

I specialise in weddings and special occasion hair.

Always choose the correct shampoo for your hair type. For example, if you have greasy hair, a lemon shampoo would be good, if you have dry hair, use almond shampoo. If your hair’s been coloured, use a chemically treated shampoo. These products don’t have to be expensive but using the right shampoo for the hair type will maximise the results as well as keep costs down. When it comes to conditioners, remember to squeeze excess water out of the hair after shampooing. This will allow the conditioner to penetrate into the hair. Leave the product on for a few minutes, then rinse off. Avoid putting too much conditioner onto the scalp, try to apply it to mid-length of your hair and to the ends. Too much conditioner on the scalp can make hair look greasy.
When picking out a shampoo or conditioner, avoid toxic ingredients such as sulfates if possible. Pretty much every natural hair care brand states proudly on its packaging that a product is sulfate-free, but there are other chemicals to avoid if you can. These include parabens, triclosan, polyethylene glycol and fragrance.
Comb through hair with a wide-toothed comb to detangle it, ideally on dry hair, before the shampooing process. After shampooing, apply a liberal amount of a leave-in conditioner. Always try to leave your hair to dry naturally when possible, and if you use heat, always use a heat protector spray.
Hair masks are just as beneficial, if not more so, than regular conditioners. Unlike a typical conditioner that rests on the surface of a strand, a hair mask works its way inside the hair cuticle. Because her masks are a lot heavier, they should only be used once or twice a week, depending on your hair type and amount of damage. Usually, once a week is a good treatment to maintain healthy glossy hair. During the summer months, or to repair damaged hair, you can use hair masks up to twice a week, depending on how dry the hair is.
